In the middle of the Brisbane summer, the most obvious way to cool down is to visit one of the many beaches on either the Sunshine or the Gold Coasts. Less obvious but much more cooling is to go ice skating at one of the few ice skating rinks in Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
IceWorld
Iceworld has skating rinks at Boondall and Acacia Ridge and is the home rink of Brisbane's Olympic medallist Steven Bradbury. You can go ice skating in Brisbane's balmy and humid summer weather. Free skating session times differ, however there is ice time available daily. Offering a canteen for refreshments and DJs playing your favourite tunes, Iceworld is a great way to spend time with people and test your balance!
Iceworld Ice Rinks also cater for parties for children 4-12 Years, a great venue for birthday parties for the little ones.
Iceland Iceland is the place to go ice skating on the Gold Coast. It is located at 15 Strathaird Road, Bundall. This ice skating rink has an ice surface of 56metres x 26metres.
