Jolly's Lookout Mt Nebo
Another great picnic area is Jolly's Lookout (wheelchair accessible). It is Mt Nebo's oldest formal lookout and was built in the 1930's. It is named after Brisbane's first Lord Mayor, William Jolly. Jolly's Lookout is on Mt Nebo Rd, less than 45 minutes drive out of Brisbane.

Australian Brush Turkey
The Australian Brush Turkey (Alectura lathami) is a common resident of many rainforest national parks as well as visitors to Brisbane suburban gardens. The Brush Turkey is one of Australia's three "mound builders". The others being the Orange-footed Scrubfowl and the Mallee Fowl. All are descendants of birds once found in the ancient land mass of Gondwana and their closest relatives now live only in Papua New Guinea and South America.
