Ferry - The City Cat
To avoid the traffic and make the most of the meandering river, enjoy the scenery from a new perspective by catching a ferry. CityFerries link the city to points such as Kangaroo Point, Dockside and South Bank. In 2006-2007 work will commence on reintroducing ferry services from Norman Park to New Farm Park, and Bulimba to Hamilton.

CityFerries are most often used by Brisbane residents to get to work, university or school. A popular, speedy way to travel the river for work or pleasure are Brisbane's CityCats. These are sleek, twin-hulled catamarans that simply glide across the water. Destinations include South Bank , the University of Queensland, New Farm and the city. Some great news is that 2006-2007 will see another new CityCat introduced in Brisbane.
