4. Catch a movie
5. Kick start your weekend away in to the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast by leaving on Friday night

1. Visit Jan Powers Farmers Markets every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month 7:00am - 12:00pm at Brisbane Powerhouse New Farm, the Green Flea Community Markets at Davies Park West End, 6:00am-2:00pm or the Valley Markets in Chinatown Mall from 8:00am
2. Go shopping at DFO - Brisbane's bargain hunter's paradise!
   
3. Go ice skating at Iceworld with skating rinks at Boondall and Acacia Ridge
4. Play a round or two of golf and one of Brisbane's golf courses
   
5. Go lawn bowling at the Merthyr or New Farm Park Bowls Club (where you're never too young!)
6. Visit a Brisbane Art Gallery or Museum
   
7. Go swimming at one of the many public swimming pools in Brisbane
8. Go shopping for fashion and knick-knacks at Westend or Paddington

1. Dinner with friends or a loved one at one of the many restaurants in Brisbane
2. After dinner continue the evening with a few drinks at a Brisbane Pub or Bar
3. Experience live music and one of the many live music venues in Fortitude Valley
   
4. Have a Guys night out or Girls night out at one of the many Brisbane bars and clubs
5. Go Tenpin Bowling
6. Go clubbing (if you didn't make it out on Friday night). Popular spots include 'Family" in Fortitude valley and the new nightclub "THE MET"
7. Make a night of it and see a Concert, go to the theatre and see a play - there's plenty of performing arts to choose from in Brisbane
8. Drive up to Mt Coot-tha Lookout after dinner for an ice cream or coffee as you marvel at the view - from here you can see all of Brisbane - pure magic

5. Take a daytime river cruise or hop on the Brisbane CityCat Ferry - this is one of the best ways to see Brisbane!

7. Go for a bushwalk or a picnic in the many parks and reserves in and around Brisbane
8. Enjoy a long lunch at an outdoor pub or start the morning with brunch/breakfast at one of Brisbane's many cafes
